In recent updates of both v72 and v74 it seems that the live chat overlay that would stay visible when in game (either overhead, below, left, or right) is no longer showing up. Toggling the switch to display the chat, rebooting, nothing has resolved the issue.
I have had this working previously and found it extremely useful for live streaming. I can still have the chat up in the camera window as normal, but that requires using the oculus button to bring up all the menus and the camera window. Obviously, this is less than ideal and unfortunately has made my stream a lot less interactive. 😞
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Has a workaround been found? Is is possible that the devs are aware of the issue and already working to resolve?
Update: As of 28 Feb 2025 this issue seems to have been resolved.
