a bit of a issue of boot looping

    Ok, so around 2 years and a half my VR (meta quest 2) had an issue called boot loop.

     the issue happened when my brother was playing gorilla tag (cool game) but he had an issue, so my mom tried to help him and then somehow she caused my VR to just loop, the logo of meta appears for around a minute and then it just powers off and again and again.

     does someone at meta have a solution or at least someone of the community because i prefer to spend 80 dollars in all the games i had instead of 300-500 for a new headset.

     I have tried a lot of things: factory resets, updating it to newest version, power off and A lot of other things.

     With respect, a guy with an issue

My Quest 3 has been a paperweight for about a month now since META pushed some update thas broken everyone's head sets. My Quest 2 still works fine as of yesterday but honestly I'm scared to turn it on because I'm afraid it, too, will  download the bug. I've tried factory reset numerous times along with all their other troubleshooting ideas. Last thing they told me was we will send you an email with a return label...that has been more than a week ago. 

I just got my Quest 3 in November. And I got the extended warranty cuz you never know with electronics. After all the ridiculousness I just decided to take it back to the store to exchange it. Since it's still in the first year, have to deal with META. 

They have broken our headsets and are not owning up to it and staying quiet. I'll be opening a complaint with the BBB and encourage everyone in this forum with a broken headset stuck in a loop to do the same.

Fraud is not acceptable. People have paid for a product or service and are not able to use it. And they knowingly keep just taking money with no fix. If a headset goes bad , I get it can happen. But when everyone's headset no longer works after downloading some new firmware or what they pushed up, is absolutely not acceptable.

If I wanted used stuff I would have gone to a pawn shop to get my headset.

Would much rather META fix what they broke

I had sent a private message before so now it won't let me.

At the end of the day they were going to send me stuff to ship back. I don't want that. But I never got anything with labels anyways.

A week after they said they would send an email, separate from the one that says hey we are going to send you an email with some labels, I went to the store to exchange the unit. They won't because it's w/in the year of purchase. Factory reset does no good. Tried again today
