black void with 3d Meta logo in the middle when using Link

Recently, this thing started happening every time I tried using quest link. Every time I try launching the app, it takes ages to load, when I try launching link through my headset it either 1. sends me back to the home, 2. infinitely loads or 3. it puts me in some sort of black void with a 3d meta logo in the middle of it, sometimes it loads in the menu but I can't use any apps or load any stores, cant install nothing and it doesnt recognize my controllers. I haven't done anything with it ever since I played bonelab like a week ago. Please help.
Here are my laptop specs if any of it helps
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics 3.80 GHz

RAM: 32,0 GB (31,2 GB usable)

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU

Windows 11

Hello @Zaminax, thank you for sharing this with us. We understand that you are having issues with using the quest link, and we suggest that you repair  the Meta Quest Link App, which can re-run the Meta Quest Link setup file. If the setup file detects that the software has been partially or fully installed, "Repair" will appear in the list as an option.

 

To Run a repair:

  • Download and run the Meta Quest Link app installation software (meta.com/quest/setup/)
  • You will see a screen which says, "Already Installed"
  • Click the "Repair" option and confirm again on the next screen

I've tried reinstalling meta and tried repairing it already, it hasn't changed anything

I've been getting this problem recently; can't think when it started. I use a link cable but had the problem with Air-Link as well. I tried repairing the Oculus app, restarting the headset, restarting the app, unplugging and unplugging the link cable. If it connected I got the black room with floating logo, but most of the time it just kept searching for a PC. The only thing that worked was restarting the PC. Or turning on the Quest 3 first then starting the PC.
