my dad recently got a quest 3 and i had a quest 2 but it broke and i saw the option to add another account so i tried to add my account but it is stuck on the screen that says i need to go to auth.meta.com/device and finish the setup there but when i go there it asks for a code

I was having the same issue and removing the account from the device and adding it again solved the issue

Same issue here. I have tried Chiyin's suggested solution. It did not work.
I have logged out of all sessions (for admin and second account) restarted headset. Nothing worked. I stocked in this screen for the second account.

Confirming that Issues is not fixed. I restarted the Quest 3 device. logged out all Sessions using the meta link provided. Removed the second account. Reboot Ques 3. Added back the second account. Quest 3 asked to accessed the auth.meta.com/device link. Entered the Ques 3, 8 letter code quest displayed. Completed auth.meta.com/device prompts. Once the web was successfull, the Quest 3 kept stuck on the same screen requesting to access auth.meta.com/device. Trying the initial 8 letter code did not allow to access again the link.

The solution is to put the quest into sleep mode BEFORE entering the code on the PC (simply take off the headset - write down the code beforehand). Then carry out everything as usual. At the end, the success should be displayed in the headset.

Hi there, @endos12.2023! We definitely don't want you missing out on sharing the world of VR with other users on your headset, so we're so glad you've brought this issue to our attention! In case you haven't already, we do highly suggest trying out each step we listed above in this thread, just to help narrow down possible causes. If the issue is persisting from there, we recommend making sure you are logged into the secondary account specifically when inputting that code at meta.com/device. If you are logged into the primary account there, that could cause this sort of issue. From here, please make sure your Meta Quest mobile app, phone, and headset are all complete up to date. Let us know if anything changes, or if you run into any further issues along the way!
