can't uninstall apps - no 'three dots' option

hi all

Used my headset for the first time in a few weeks and there are apps installed that I didn't install. there is no option to uninstall them, only play them. Anyone know how I can get rid of this crap? it's using up precious memory.

Hey there @kgkfysydjcjcifu! We definitely want for you to be able to customize your device as you see fit! That being said, there are certain default apps that are not able to be removed from the system. If you can answer a few questions for us, we can take a look and see if this is intended or unintended behavior:

 

  1. Is this happening on all apps, or just a few specific ones?
  2. Which apps are you trying to delete?

If you would like to be able to delete the default apps that come with the headset to free up room, the best avenue for that suggestion is the Ideas section of our forums.

Sorry for the delay - I haven't had time to get the headset back on but it's not all apps. Some random games showed up that I didn't download - they are not the 'stock' apps that are preloaded on the occulus. One was some kind of bbq game.... there were at least four and likely more. I will take note next time I'm using the headset. thanks!

In the meantime, what we can suggest is to try and delete the apps that you are trying to get rid of from your mobile device since this is connected to your account as well.
