Hi,
Meta forced me to update my Oculus account to a Meta account. After I did this, my Oculus didn't start beyond the repeating three dots... I tried everything, but nothing worked.
Finally I decided to factory reset the headset, removed the device in the Oculus mobile app and remove the app from my phone.
After I reinstalled the app, I started the Oculus Go. This time it's asking me open the Oculus mobile App to connect the headset. In the App I can 'see' the headset and select is. The App then tries to connect, but tells me this headset is already connected to my Meta-account. It advices me to restore the factory default on the headset, which I have done already several times... is this where I toss a perfectly good headset in the bin, or is there a way that I can still get this to work again?

I have the same issue. It looks like Meta has just f-Ed up the oculus experience that I had been having for good. I dropped fb years ago and, unfortunately, just set up a meta account to get access to my device (Oculus Go) which I’ve had for years and which worked great all those years as a stand-alone device. Having a need for another device to access VR is absurd. That can’t really be their solution, can it?

It really sucks...

This post says there is 1 accepted solution, but don't be fooled, there still is none. This case is still open and I still can't use my Oculus Go device.

So are you going to refund my oculus go. This sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen

Thanks, worked for me too.
This should be the accepted solution.

thank you for sharing this. this should be the accepted solution. without it i'd have an inoperational oculus go stuck on three dots. meta really screwed up with this account integration. hope they leave us alone now. i'm very happy to have a solo oculus go without any social features.

I worked with Meta Store Support and I must say they did all they could to find out what was causing my problem. They gave me all sorts of things to try out, which none of them worked. Finally they offered to replace my Go device with another one. It arrived today and I was able to connect it to my Meta account without any problems.
Later on I discovered there were some functions that didn't work with the replaced device, that did work with my original one. I re-opened the support call. Meta offered me to replace the device once more. And so I received another one, with exact the same issue...! Did Meta Support even look at what the problem was, or do they just replace the device whatever the problem is...? I re-opened the call again saying that the problem still exists and Meta Support offered to replace it once more. At this time, I've lost my trust in Meta support. I suppose the Oculus Go was fun for as long as it lasted, but now Meta has ruined it. 😞
Thanx Meta Store Support!

I am having the same problem. So frustrating. Had my nephew over to show him the solar system app to fly around and see all our planets. Put on my Oculus Go today and went to Meta.com/websetup and updated my profile, per the instructions on the Oculus Go screen upon loading. Now all I get are three dots. Tried everything, nothing is working. Can't get past the three dots. Please help, thx
