Meta forced me to update my Oculus account to a Meta account. After I did this, my Oculus didn't start beyond the repeating three dots... I tried everything, but nothing worked.
Finally I decided to factory reset the headset, removed the device in the Oculus mobile app and remove the app from my phone.
After I reinstalled the app, I started the Oculus Go. This time it's asking me open the Oculus mobile App to connect the headset. In the App I can 'see' the headset and select is. The App then tries to connect, but tells me this headset is already connected to my Meta-account. It advices me to restore the factory default on the headset, which I have done already several times... is this where I toss a perfectly good headset in the bin, or is there a way that I can still get this to work again?
I wish that worked for me, but when I try it, I have no “launch in the go” option. This is so frustrating. I have my grandson here beside me wanting to play and I can’t access anything.
Thanx for your info, but this doesn't work for me. I did a factory reset of the device when it just showed the looping '...' . I can go to My Library in the phone app and select a VR-app to start on my device, but there is no device to chose from.
That’s awful. It would be nice if Mark didn’t try to force us into upgrading to the super expensive Quest 2!
I hope you find a solution. It sounds like your Go is not linked to your phone app but I don’t know if that’s possible to do while your Go is doing its “…” thing.

Open the app and enter your access code: **** 3. Follow the steps on our support site to initiate a network scan in the app and find other helpful troubleshooting steps here
About access code I don't know it was only for me or not that's why I haven't written one.
Why doesn’t the Oculus work the way it used to work? Is it necessary to load the Meta crappy software? Why can’t I just use it like I have been for several years. It was a great device and now it’s crap because of your software. Thanks for nothing.
I’m going to contact the Washington attorney generals office. I suggest you reach out to your state, too. This cannot stand. It’s poor business practice and we should get a refund.
