Was having problems installing games so i read on here to uninstall the oculus app. When i tried reinstalling the oculus app it wont install!! waited to the next day and was able to install the app and get a game on it. then the problem happened again and i couldnt install anymore games. I tried making a back up file of the games i downloaded and i think i messed up so i just uninstalled the app. now it wont let me install the app again. Getting very very frustrated with this.
The app is a piece of shit. Oculus support needs to hotfix the App IMMEDIATELY. I didnt pay all this money for this VR headset to not even be able to play.
The Oculus App install is stuck at 138 mb / 5.13 gb
It was working fine yesterday, I couldnt get Arizona Sunshine to download so I tried reinstalling the Oculus software, NOT I CANT EVEN GET THE OCULUS SOFTWARE INSTALLED SO IM TOTALLY FUCKED.
UPDATE: So after almost calling it quits i saw on a post to buy/download expressvpn. i was pretty skeptical that it wouldnt work but i am now finishing my app installation... not sure yet about games
I was able to install Arizona sunshine, robo recall, superhot vr and beat saber. all with using the vpn.
Interesting, I might give using a VPN a shot. I just have so many other games to try out at the moment that getting the software back up and running is least of my priorities.
But I can attest to what you both have said above. I bought several games during the holiday sale, installed all of them just fine, except for Arizona Sunshine which for some reason, would simply not install. Finally it triggered a false positive on my Windows Defender, flagging it as a trojan virus. Normally I would freak out a little, but as it came directly from oculus, I was not too worried and pushed it through. Still, the download kept failing over and over. I just cant get that damn game to install. Finally I tried to "repair" my oculus software, and now ... here I am, same as alot of other people, stuck on downloading at 138mb / 9gb for my software ... oh well
Hey, just the same here. Couldn't install Arizona Sunrise, following support suggestions I tried to 'repair' the Oculus app. Great idea, thank you. The whole installation got cleaned and then the setup got stuck on 138Mb. So now it is fixed - I cannot install my new purchase AND use any other apps I have already. Way to make both the software and the hardware useless... FIX it for f! sake.
edit: I confirm, I just enabled my Avast VPN, on default settings without even changing to a different location. Setup downloaded files without issues. Now installing. WTF??? EU/Poland/Warsaw
I have same problem, I have my quest 2 wanna use link to play PC version of Arizona Sunshine. Unlucky, the download was stopped for no reason, then i try to download others game also have the same problem. I also try to uninstall the Oculus app and reinstall. It stuck on 138MB....Okay, I tried to reinstall my windows 10. Now I can install the Oculus app but still cannot download the Games and even cannot start the Oculus Link.... What is happened????
Same here... Arizona Sunshine couldn't install, tried a repair, then a complete reinstall of the app, now I can't open it at all and stuck at 172mb download.
EDIT: Reinstall Oculus PC app finally worked BUT Arizona Sunshine still won't downoad... I'm waiting for the Support to answer my Ticket.
Common issues... we've all been there. Exactly the same problems... stalling out at 138mb and unable to install apps. For me it installed everything fine until I got to the last 3 apps... Arizona Sunshine, Wilson's Heart and Elite Dangerous.
Setting up a VPN worked for me... as well as many others.
