My Quest 3 shows very noticeable chromatic aberration, particularly when viewing purple objects on a dark background. The easiest way to test this is by going to Twitch in the browser or (less obvious) looking at the Social icon on the icon bar when it's near the edge of the FOV. Is this normal or is this a problem with my unit?

Hello! I found the same issue with my headset. I just opened it new from the box, and I can see significant color on the edges of my screen. It is very significant.

Hey there, @domagesky, and thank you for reaching out to the community with this issue! This is definitely not the kind of thing we're happy for you to see right out of the box, but we'll be happy to work with you to find a resolution. A couple of quick things that might clear the issue up for you:
Once the unit powers back up, check to see if the symptoms have changed at all. If the issue persists, you can try a Factory Reset by following the steps outlined here:
Factory Reset Your Meta Quest Device
Pay particular attention to the Cloud Backup portion of those steps, and be sure to sign back into your existing account when you set it back up, and don't accidentally create a new account. If the issue persists beyond the reset, we'll be wanting to dig into it deeper, but would need information from you that we wouldn't want you to post in a public space, so send us a private message. To do so, just select our name to get to our profile page, or click HERE. Next, click "Send a Message" and we'll be able to reply to you shortly! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. Let us know if these steps make any change in your symptoms, and we'll be waiting on your reply!

Good evening, I've also encountered the issue of chromatic aberrations, suspecting the V60, as it happened with the V35 on the Quest 2 before. 🤔 At the time, it was a recognized problem... However, I'm not certain because I'm using a new replacement headset after issues with my previous model. There might also be a hardware problem with the lenses not effectively filtering light, leading to the appearance of chromatic aberrations 🤔.
Have you managed to resolve this issue on your end? Despite my attempts at resets, the effect persists. Looking forward to your feedback. Happy holidays! 😉

Hi all, this issue seems to be mostly fixed now in v62.
I'm getting almost edge to edge clarity with only a little bit of noticeable aberration at on certain text at the very edges. Blue boxes on the grey background still has pretty bad chromatic aberration the more away from the centre you go but white text seems much better now.
Glad that it can be fixed with software tweaks, hope they keep working on this.

Great, and thanks for your feedback on the chromatic aberrations with this V62. I hope it will be finalized very soon. I'm really excited to see the result once corrected because it's quite bothersome. Although less pronounced than on the Q2, the blue or violet colors still bother my eyes and break the immersion. 😅

Hi,
same issue here. Unfortunately v62 didn't change anything for me. Also restarting didn't help.
