My Quest 3 shows very noticeable chromatic aberration, particularly when viewing purple objects on a dark background. The easiest way to test this is by going to Twitch in the browser or (less obvious) looking at the Social icon on the icon bar when it's near the edge of the FOV. Is this normal or is this a problem with my unit?

Yes the issue is still present towards the top and bottom of the image in the headset on white and blue text with a dark background.
it’s frustrating because my Quest Pro has no such issues and I believe it uses the same pancake lenses so is there a chance it could be a display issue and I should RMA my Quest 3 before it’s too late.

Hey oursoul, an RMA would be the best route here. If there hasn't ben any improvement then it's possible it's a hardware issue. I'll drop the link to support here for you.

I have also these problems. This is my second quest 3 because the first had a dead pixel. I have the feeling in my first quest 3 it was less noticable but I cannot compare it. But maybe it's a problem of v62 because on my first quest 3 v62 was not released yet. Anyway v62 introduced a lot of problems for me and I still have no possibility to upgrade to v63.
I also think that some sort of chromatic aberration is quite normal. Even Apple Vision Pro has it as you can read in some forums.

I appreciate you getting back to me. It's true that this sort of issue pops up from time to time around the VR market. If you don't see any improvement at all after the update, we may need to look at it from a different angle

I confirm that chromatic aberrations are still present, especially doubling on colors like purple, blue, green, etc. For example, it's very disturbing in the menus of Asgard's Wrath where everything on the edges of the lenses is doubled. 🙁😭

I am aware that it is normal to have chromatic aberrations, but for me, they became much more prominent during V59 or V60 🤔. There has already been the same issue with the Quest 2 during an update that was fixed by Meta in the past. It was an anomaly noted on certain headset units that did not appreciate this update. I believe we are part of the same group, but this time on version 3 😭.
