My Quest 3 shows very noticeable chromatic aberration, particularly when viewing purple objects on a dark background. The easiest way to test this is by going to Twitch in the browser or (less obvious) looking at the Social icon on the icon bar when it's near the edge of the FOV. Is this normal or is this a problem with my unit?
Meta is refusing to service my unit because it "got sent to France via plane first" before being sent to Switzerland. Thus I must post it from France they say...
Anyways, this issue is most probably software related. It seems to me that the green channel compensation is flipped in regards to the gyro output.
The fact that Meta, from v60 to v63, hasn't done anything to fix this is pathetic to say the least. And I'm sick and tired of blaming the user for not resetting the device enough times. But fret not, just keep resetting, everything will get solved eventually!
I completely understand your frustration. It's frustrating to continuously receive reset advice, especially when it doesn't seem to fix the issue. It's disappointing that Meta isn't taking more concrete steps to address this software problem, despite updates. I wish you good luck in your efforts to resolve this issue.
Unfortunately, as we're a minority facing this problem, it seems unlikely to be resolved quickly. Even device replacement becomes disheartening, fearing to encounter defective pixels or other issues. It's frustrating to have to wait it out, but I'm with you wholeheartedly in this situation.
