I have had my quest 2 for a few years but I was going to sell it so I done a standard factory reset it looked fine.
when I go to turn it on I see the normal boot animation but it felt like it was a bit quicker than usual. I left it on to go get something (like 14 min) and when I came back I saw that it still hadn't booted and I just forgot about it after I plugged it in but the thing still hadn't booted even after a whole night. So I factory reset it again and it still wasn't fixed. I've tried a lot of different methods from sideloading a update to just booting the device from the "usb update mode"
