The Acer swift 3 has minimal GPU. Xe for Intel, which will not support link as it's not sufficient. The amd version which has an rx vega 8 option might be enough but if tuned for laptop don't have the tdp.
Tldr, no supported discrete GPU. So don't expect link to function.
Start with how you are connecting (wired or wireless), why you are connecting (file transfer, Link etc), what you are connecting (Laptop specs, does it meet the published requirements) and what you are seeing (error messages, on-screen reactions).
