when i go to options, it says there is no update available, i think i waited long enough for v73 now that v74 is out
i got the quest 3 two months ago and from my research, the headset update when it wants to, by region or something but a close friend irl has the update and not me.
is there a way to make the headset to check for updates even if the button for update is grayed out, it seems to think its updated but my version clearly says v72
The only local friends of mine that currently have v74 are one enrolled in the meta public test channel (PTC v74). I'm still on non-beta v72 with both my Q3 and QPro, including the meta-link pc app. When the final non-beta v74 is available I'm sure we'll all eventually get it. In the meantime you can manually check this by going to to your quest home settings menu and select the update option. Unless one is available it will tell you that you're up to date. Nothing to worry about imho. You'll get it when it rolls out to you. In many cases, these rollouts can get delayed if PTC v74 users continue to report problems. If these don't get fixed, meta may even bypass v74 and startup a PTCv75. Who knows? For me, v72 (there never was a v73 btw) continues to work very well.
