I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM! However the picture jumping isn't as fast and as often... for me it's like one jump every 5 seconds or so, but still very annoying and breaking immersion.

I don't know if it's related or not, but I have a wall mounted lamp next to the pc that swings out on an articulated arm.  If it's forward it gets in front of my right position sensor cam.  Rift fires up ok but then if I move the lamp back out of the way the headset position jumps once like that.  I'd guess the jumping you see is probably the sensor cutting out, so try another usb port? or swap right and left sensors and see what happens.

Don't have any lamps next to my sensors. I've tried using another usb port. Also tried unpluging the headset.

I got my problem solved when I downgraded the Nvidia drivers to 385.28. For me same problem was present with all the 388.xx drivers (00, 13 and 31). Sadly not always the newest drivers is the problem-solver... sometimes it is the cause!

EDIT: That got rid of the heavy stuttering. Slight stuttering remained - which was caused by Gigabyte Extreme Gaming Engine (which is Gigabyte version of MSI Afterburner). They both cause the same problem, so disabling them should be also good idea.

I'll try down grading my card drivers but I dont think its my GFX drivers. My problem started when Windows and/or Oculus home 1.20 updated.
