Hi community,

V71 killed my quest experience and now i'm stuck, i can't rollback to V69 even if i'm factory reseting my headset.

I'm exclusively using my quest to watch movies on cinema VR through an awesome app called movie deck for plex.

V71 caused  playback using VLC via a Unity app (local and streaming) displays an inverted video i.e. negative colours. I tried to rollback by unable the public testing channel ( which shoulda rollback as quoted on the meta horizon app ) but it didn't work, i tried also to factory reset and it didn't work, i'm still stuck on V71.

A lot of people are reporting other issues, please don't update to V71 unless you want to kill your experience.

I have not seen any bad experience on PTC V71, still smooth gaming to me. I have the second update patch. Just runs the fans harder time to time. And can't roll back to V69. But gaming it's smooth

Well, for a start you have the menu sound on your environement if you untrack your headset ( on full darkness for example ) and if you launch netflix on your browser  you still have the guardian settings annoying sound 

Then, they **bleep**ed up VLC , all colors are inverted, this is so annoying, i can't use movie for plex anymore ...


Sounds to me on certain part of the apps are the issues not the firmware update. Like I'm meaning the V71 is not fully supported on certain apps yet. But overall the app needs to be supported for V71 to make it work

Regardless of stability, opting our of a beta release needs to be supported. Unfortunately I have to now RMA my headset to get off beta 

I'm confused why RMA your headset? You could just wait it out, and turn off PTC when the official release came out. That what I did at one time. They always tell us PTC is unstable, it's at our risk of no return

I think your missing my point, my headset is unusable and I can't exist beta to correct.

These are valid terms for RMA and meta agrees

False, they always say if you want to roll back, it will force a factory reset, not that you will never be able to leave.

I'm in the same boat. Currently slogging my way through multiple immediate ticket closures because they do not read the emails, they just see "PTC" and copy pasta.

It happened once before with a different version. I has go waited it out, to exit PTC and never tried it in a while.
