my oculus port melt was about to cause big fire

yesterday i turn off my oculus and put it as normal on charge after 15 min smelled burning was searching all the house then i found the oculus like this , i have never seen something like this with any product , iphones, laptop etc ,

if i was not around i could have big fire in the house and i got baby in the next room too

the product 8 month old , i am so stressed and upset

i opened ticket yesterday , they said someone will contact me with 48 hours

but i searched online for many similars stories with very poor customer service and months of no respond ,
