my rift s doesnt work and i want it replaced

i still have the warranty. the headset doesn't work. at first, 2 months ago, i couldn't get it to work as it didn't recognise either the usb or the display port being plugged in and would switch to the other one not working if I unplugged and replugged them in. i tried numerous things at the time to try and fix it, many from oculus and other internet forums but nothing worked. even tried reinstalling the oculus app 4 times. my drivers are up to date too. now, 2 months later i write this message. before writing this i reinstalled oculus and tried setting up the rift s again as a couple weeks ago my computer needed to have a fresh install of windows 10 and with that, all applications were deleted. I wanted to check if it worked now before writing this. surprisingly, I got past the cable setup but now the sensors cant track the headset. i think its a hardware problem rather than software. i think getting it repaired will be a lost cause as I'm sure another issue is bound to pop up and I'm almost at the end of my warranty which ends in 27th of November this year. how do I go about having it replaced.

If you have one on hand, try running the Rift-S through a powered USB hub. I've seen that fix all the typical issues for many people, including myself. Many motherboards can't handle (or are borderline) the Rift-S's power requirements, causing various faults.

(Mine had tracking loss, static image, display port and usb cables not detected, etc. Got a powered usb hub. Been running fine ever since)

I use an orico, but the particular model is discontinued. Probably as long as it has its own power supply it should be fine.

ill probably get something with usb 3.0 as the rift s requires it and thats what ive had it in so far.
