ok so i havent touched my vr headset in forever, and i decided to start playing some vr again, but i noticed that the stick on my left controller keeps drifting. you know that thing ninendo switch joy-cons do sometimes where the control stick keeps registering a direction even though youre not even touching it? thats what my controller keeps doing. every time i let go of it, theres about a 50% chance it sticks to the right slightly, which belive me gets annoying. does anyone know any methods to fix this?

Yikes, drift issues can definitely be a pain @Anonymous but I'll throw in some troubleshooting that tends to fix this issue. Give these a try!

  • Remove batteries for a minute before inserting into your touch controllers once more.
  • Check the battery levels of each of your touch controllers and replace the batteries if the levels are low.
  • When powering on your controllers, ensure that the Analog sticks aren't being held in any direction and are at rest in the neutral position.
  • You can check your battery levels:
    • In Dash on the right side of the menu bar
    • Within the PC software under Devices
  • Restart your Oculus Service:
    1. Open the Oculus app on your computer.
    2. Click Settings on the left side of the app.
    3. Click Beta at the top of the settings options.
    4. Click Restart Oculus.
