browser has suddenly stopped working on oculus go, no updates so its not thgat, crashes whenever you try to open vr. very annoying tried to re pair to app but app wont go past the heath and safety acknowledge button on set up and factpry reset isnt working in the go either.. have lots of paid apps so dont want to go down the delte data option as dont want to risk losing all ive paid for.
as expected facebook/meta/oculus are just kicking the can down the road by another week like they have been doing since january, as expected.
they just want to keep the impression it will be there soon, fact is begin january until mid february is 1.5 month so we move from waiting one month to waiting 1.5 month and counting

just checking my history and i raised a live chat ticket on 21/01/2022.. told them what was wrong and they requested my full name, address, email and serial number, they then asked for the number on the box ( who the heck keeps a box for 2 years? ) explained it was purchased from amazon and didnt have the box anymore. the reply was the following ( saved from the chat log )

since then i have heard absolutely zero . not a word.. there is still no update showing as available and the device still does not work using webvr/ webvrx making it inoperable as a VR device for web based content. what an utter shambles.
I bought a Oculus Go to enjoy VR from the web, but VR keep crashing the browser for 2 months... I thought I made a great purchase. No more Oculus brand for me in the future. Waiting for Apple VR.
I just wanted to update that my browser seems to be working correctly again, haven't tested everything but the first site I tried played the vr video like it used to
Did you see the update became available and have to do it manually, or was the update automatically done? I've been checking for updates but haven't seen anything yet and am still crashing.
I didn't do anything manually, seems it was automatic. I plugged power and turned it on with USB still plugged on (might have read somewhere on a forum to have it plugged in for update, not sure if it matters but can't hurt) and let it sit. Mine was not working when others said theirs was working, but a few days later and mine started working. I guess leave it on and plugged in and see if it updates, i also restarted and such but I'm ocd and I restart things that might not need restarting 😄 good luck i hope everyone gets the update soon!
I'm still waiting for my update as well. Was expecting it to come 'by Friday' as Ryan stated. Very disappointing that they can't fix it faster for everyone. Ridiculous that their VR headset can't do VR.
Bottom line very poor customer service. To begin with, how do you allow the Go device browser to crash in the first place? Second you drag your feet in helping us and getting it fixed. Third it’s like you don’t care because we own the Go. Ridiculous never again.
