browser has suddenly stopped working on oculus go, no updates so its not thgat, crashes whenever you try to open vr. very annoying tried to re pair to app but app wont go past the heath and safety acknowledge button on set up and factpry reset isnt working in the go either.. have lots of paid apps so dont want to go down the delte data option as dont want to risk losing all ive paid for.

I understand being frustrated that your Oculus Go hasn't received the update yet, but hopefully you don't have to be patient much longer. I've made sure the team knows folks are passionate and eager for the update.

My GO device updated today after a morning restart.
I had to plug it in for the update to take effect.
Happy to have it fixed but it took WAAAAAYYYYYY too long.

IT FINALLY WORKS!!
Plug your Go into the charger and go to Settings -> About -> Check for Updates
let it update and I guess that updated the Oculus Browser as well?

I've been an Oculus user for years now. Though I read the forums, I've never before felt the urge to join in. Yet this situation has been utterly absurd. Seeing RyanS put out this month+ late "mission accomplished" post and say something dismissive today like "I've made sure the team knows folks are passionate and eager for the update" is fundamentally infuriating. Especially considering how many silent users like me have - once again - completed yet another factory reset only to discover the update still isn't available..?? And then go back to the forum to see RyanS had already followed up by closing the topic for further comments? Wow. What a total sh*tshow.
The damage has fully been done to Oculus Go customers. This situation is why case action lawsuits exist.

You are very right noiamnot - yes you are right noiamnot - yes you are lol. I couldn’t resist. Anyway, I got on my Oculus Go right now and it is doing some software update, but not sure that it will do anything for the Oculus Browser. I’ll update you all once it is done.
UPDATE: HOLY **bleep**BALLS IT WORKS!! I went into settings and clicked update software and it works!!

Amazing and fully expected from Oculus/Facebook/Meta..... next step is probably to close this section as well with the same comments as they used in the General section 'Thanks so much for all your patience! The team identified the cause of the problem and has a solution put together that's currently rolling out to users. ' ..... just checked no updates today and it is the 9th of February 2022..... 1.5 months and counting

I guess they were working on it. Although I do feel that this community pushed them into fixing it so we know that we can make a difference when we all come together. Let’s hope that this will work for everyone now and remain working properly.

Reiziger - don’t wait for the browser to update automatically. Go to Settings -> About - Check for Updates. Mine is now working properly!! I have to say I’m very surprised as I thought they were not going to fix it at this time.

vip1977, I think they have to fix it - bricking everyone's hardware would seem like asking for a class-action lawsuit, or at least some very bad press. Last thing $FB / Meta needs right now.
Good to see all of the interest in seeing this fixed. A lot of ...pent up... energy here. LOL. #vr #nsfw
