oculus go browser not working

browser has suddenly stopped working on oculus go, no updates so its not thgat, crashes whenever you try to open vr. very annoying tried to re pair to app but app wont go past the heath and safety acknowledge button on set up and factpry reset isnt working in the go either.. have lots of paid apps so dont want to go down the delte data option as dont want to risk losing all ive paid for.

I'm in the UK and mine started working before anyone else on here a over a week ago.  It's more than likely to do with serial/build/batch numbers. Mine is 3 years old. Be patient, its out there somewhere, good luck.

I'm in the states and still don't have it yet. (2/9/22 at 10:16am est). Do you have to do a factory reset first for the update to kind of push through? Or do I just have to continue waiting until the update is available naturally?

Mines work untill yesterday new firmware. congrats to all for the enforcement

Still no update.. left the device on the counter in standby mode for the last 48hrs and manually restarting a few times a day. It’s past the promised Tuesday deadline. Wednesday 2/9/22 10:35am CST in the States. Yes, I have done the settings > about check

still waiting for the update to fix the GO.

Ran the Go for 1 3/4 hours and the only problem now is the sound. On some videos there is no sound and the volume indicator does not show up. There are no more crashes, that was the first day only and now its rock solid. We are getting there.

I believe I was the 2nd person on here to get the fix. 

Here's how I did it.

1. Uninstall Oculus app & SWITCH OFF PHONE & internet connections.

2. Performed factory reset on headset until it tells you to get your phone.

3. Shut down the headset.

(It's now brand new)

4. Start phone / internet and install oculus app. Restart phone.

5. Start Oculus app & headset then pair them following the instructions.

6. In the headset go to settings/see all/about and then headset starts to download & update.

7. install the browser

And that was it.

I did find a lot of sites ASK for permission to use webxr-sometimes with a notice on the page.

I've been on sites where vr doesn't seem to work till you go to Browser setting and 'allow'webxr manually.

no update yet here in Canada....I've been waiting patiently, but if I don't have an update by the 12...I'm gonna be sending the Canadian truckers to come pay a visit!
