I thought it my a fault on my headset. Turned it on today, first time for more than a month and no web pages work. Click on play (in VR) and get the message " this page has crashed and has been recovered", then an endless loop of the same thing. My PC VR clip/film content also stopped playing correctly today, freezes, then continues a second or two then freezes again.

Finally got my update too. The software update (in All settings > about) ends with 400000 instead of 300000 for those who didn't get it yet. No need to restart device or anything else to force it.
Took them 6 weeks to fix....This is what happens to customer care when there's no really good competition in the space.

Finally got the update and everything is working normally. After 2 months of waiting for a critical bug, I'm still not happy with Meta how they handle this bug.

I have received the update today.
I left my Oculus Go on standby and connected to the power supply for several days/weeks. I checked almost everyday and even restarted the unit just in case the update came to my device. I was not lucky until today.
I have just checked (Settings —> Information) and realized that the unit was automatically updated (without my intervention) to the latest version (ending in 400000)
So at least, they were not lying and the update really exists. I can also confirm that it resolves the VR issue in the browser. Now I can watch VR videos from there again.
Another different thing is the communication and the time it took Oculus team to roll up such update. Not happy about it at all as previously commented.
For the ones that still not received it. Just wait a little bit more as I assume it will reach your devices soon.

... the update also has arrived on my GO today.- What I realized is, that it is not an update of the browser, it is a new version of the OS.- I updated and everything is working fine.- Nevertheless it was a pain in the ass to have to wait for such a long time for the update and as I said before this doesn't shed a good light on the entire support and how serious problems with the product are taken.- I hope this will improve !

Hi everyone, I've gotten confirmation from the team that the Oculus Go update for the crashing browser was made available to everyone. Check in your Oculus Go settings to make sure that you have the most recent update. The version should say 2000840007740000, as already mentioned. If you don't have an update available currently and you're on the older version still, you can try restarting it and checking for updates again.
Thanks everyone for your patience, and please let us know if anything else comes up. It's always great to send in bug reports when you find something, so the team can take a closer look.

I'd already raised a ticket with them yesterday, they confirmed today about the update . So Iturned My Oculus Go on, and went into the menue and saw the update had already installed.
HOWEVER. I checked the web pages and found everything working again. played a short game, then after about 40 minutes, the headset shut down. I'd not got any prompt that the batery was running low. Turned it on, again, then used the power on/off button and power off prompt on the screen. I put the headset on charge, and some time later, was surprised that the orange light was still on, so I picked up the headset and found that somehow it's turned itself on. All I have is the Oculus logo. The headset won't turn off, volume key does nothing, volume+ on/off button does nothing. So I'm sitting here like a lemon, waiting for the batery to run out. Until this week I've never had any problem with this headset.
Does anyone have any ideas please

Can anyone please test, if the insta36vr app still works? I have the Insta360 Go X2 and was told that I could watch the native insv and insp files on the Oculus Go. I purchaised a used Oculus Go and had to reset it. The update 774 was installed automatically. I could not find the insta360vr on the oculus shop. So I installed it's version 1.10 via adb. The app launches and It can even connect via Wlan to the camera and download the videos but does not play anyone. The title is shown, but no preview picture. The same is when I copy the file from the camera to PC and from there to the internal memory of the Oculus. One file plays but only the audio.
Is there any alternative player which can play the insp files? Currently I have to convert the files from the camera via PC or Phone app and then I can watch them. But it takes much time to convert. I would like to play them directly.
