Hi there @theu5ualgamer! It's awesome that you've located your old Oculus and are eager to dive back into VR. We understand that it's not powering on and booting up fully, but no need to fret - we're more than happy to lend a hand. To help us assist you better, To help us troubleshoot the issue, could you please answer a few questions?

  • Can your Oculus charge, and if so, does it reach a full charge?
  • Have you noticed any physical damage to the device?
  • Which version of Oculus are you using?

We can't wait to hear from you!

My headset wont turn on or anything and its been doing this for a while, the oculus logo would show but the device wont power on and I have been trying for a month or 2 now

broken: right controller/fixed with tape

Sad: Very

Hey @Gorilla8765! We understand that you have been having some trouble with your Oculus Go and were in need of some help. Your headset hasn't powered on and you've been trying for about 2 months now and you also have a broken controller. We are more than happy to help but we do want to set the expectation moving forward. The Oculus Go was an important stepping stone in the lifecycle of not only Oculus but VR as a whole. It brought to life a new world for millions of people. I would like to thank you for being an early adopter of this new reality, and for taking this journey with us for so long. Unfortunately, all things must come to an end, and our focus has since shifted to ensure that we can keep focusing on pushing what is possible in VR. While support for the Oculus Go has ended and we may not be able to do any advanced troubleshooting, I did provide some steps below that may help you out.

  • Have you tried to charge your headset for 2 hours? if not, please do so and then see if your headset comes on
  • Try a different cable/charger
  • You may want to try to charge the headset without the facial interface
  • Are you using any third-party accessories that may affect battery charging or consume power (such as external battery packs, external fans, etc.) If so, disconnect any third-party accessories and try charging the headset again.
  • Try charging from a different source (different wall outlet or another PC)
  • Hard Reboot the headset
  1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
  2. If the boot-up sound is not heard, enter the USB Update Mode and select "Boot Device"

Please let us know if any of these steps work. If not, we might have a couple more last resort troubleshooting steps you can attempt. Hope this helps!
