oculus rift s connection problems with new motherboard.

Hello,

Today i finished upgrading my pc, i have a new motherboard, gpu, cpu and ram. on my old pc i was able to connect my oculus rift s fine and everything worked. Currently i have the Asrock b650m-hdv/m.2 motherboard and rtx 4070 gpu.

My motherboard has multiple usb 3.2 gen1 ports but for some reason when connecting my headset it just doesn't pick it up. And another strange thing is the Displayport also doesn't connect. It is not a problem with the ports because other devices do work with them.

Anyone know a solution?

thanks.

Edit: Okay i did some testing. I have a gaming laptop with the same usb 3.2 gen1 ports. When i plug it in there it does recognize it. But i cant test the displayport on there because there isnt one. But why does my laptop recognize the usb and my pc not even though they are the same ports?

@matsvanetten  have a look through this thread, it seems there may be an update that's affecting some hardware/Rift S setups -

Hi matsvanetten,

Thanks for reaching out about this! We understand you're having some issues connecting your Rift S to your newly-upgraded PC.

We'd love to help get you back online!

- Can you confirm your PC meets the Rift S minimum requirements and system specifications?
- Another potential solution here is to do with any antivirus/firewall programs you might have on your new PC. Could you make sure the Meta Horizon PC app is whitelisted in your program?
- Finally, please note that Rift does not support the use of multiple dedicated graphics cards.

We hope this helps, matsvanetten! If not, just send us another message and we'll continue to troubleshoot with you.

If you have a powered USB hub around, try connecting the Rift-S to that. It fixed all Rift-S issues I've ever had (and others on here). My work laptops handle the Rift-S fine, but my desktop's motherboard doesn't supply enough power for the Rift-S to be stable.
