problems after about 20 mins.. too many lost IMU samples

I've been having this issue since getting my touch controllers.  Using 2 sensor setup for now. Have another one ordered but should probably cancel that order until I get this issue straightened out.

I have been using Medium mostly, and I can get very good results for about the first 20 mins or so.. after that I start getting erratic jumping around and some static sound mixed in.. starts slowly and gradually builds to the point where nothing is playable.    If I continue in game.. it will eventually disconnect my HMD and when I take off the head set and check devices in oculus home, I see the HMD is often downgraded to USB 2.0 (even though it's plugged into USB3, and has an error "too many lost IMU samples"   poor tracking.. etc. Now, if I unplug the usb's and plug them back in..  it's fine again.

I've tried all different arrangements between USB2.0 and 3.0 ports (MB front and  back) and have the Inateck PCIe card , powered one, with windows drivers, using the Inateck driver caused constant disconnects of the USB3 ports. No matter what I try, getting this frustrating behavior.

I also removed my USB wifi and ran and ether net cable to eliminate USB power isuses.

Not using any USB extension cables...

I have the same motherboard as you, and am having the EXACT same issue. I'm going to guess it has something to do with that

I just found this thread, mentioning AI Suite - https://forums.oculus.com/vip/discussion/38173/stuttering-when-using-cv1-the-first-time-after-the-pc-was-on-for-some-hours

I'm going to uninstall it and see if it helps.

Thanks for that info! I do have AI suite installed so will try uninstalling it's components to see if that helps any.  I do have a support ticket open and have provided logs, so maybe something will come of that.  I have found that , once I start noticing the slightest lag and crackle of sound.. if I quit what ever I'm doing and go straight into ToyBox and start blasting the lazor pistols , it accelerates the problem to the point of disconnecting my hmd and or sensors.

I uninstalled the AI Suite, including all components, and have been playing things for the past 2 hours with no issues at all. Looks like this has solved the issue for me!

Okay, I uninstalled AI Suite and then tested for about an hour.. spent about 30 in medium then another 30 mins in toybox blasting the lazer guns..(this would always cause issues) not a single hiccup!  I'm not sure how someone thought to remove AI suite, but so far, seems to be doing the trick. I will do more play testing tomorrow to be sure and report back.  Thanks heaps for the tip!  I will report that info in my support ticket as well.    I would love to know how that hell that is causing this problem.

Calling it fixed.  About 3 hours in oculus today and no issues.  Uninstalling AI Suite highly recommended for anyone having lag / stutter issues with touch!

I'm going to reinstall AI Suite (but not all the components) and do some more testing. I want to be able to control the fan speeds according to the profiles I created, but I think the USB features in the AI Suite are what were causing the problems, so I'm going to exclude those from being installed.

I'll report back with any findings.
