Hey there, @Eliteshift! We know how important a PC connection can be to your VR experience, so we will do our best to provide as much information as possible here.

You mentioned that your Rift S device used to work fine on your set-up, despite not meeting the minimum system requirements. We can certainly understand how disappointing it would be to discover that it no longer works. While it is entirely possible for someone to use their computer, even if they don't meet the requirements, it is not guaranteed. The current iteration of the app and headsets that we have, on their current updates, are just not designed to be used with these PC specs, and so we cannot help troubleshoot it to get it working.

We know this is disappointing news, but we do wish you the best of luck with everything. If you have any questions or concerns regarding any other issues, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hi @Cheeseballs_5, thank you for bringing this to our attention! We understand the importance of having a good time in VR, especially when just trying to play some games. We'd love to help you get to the bottom of this. Lets start with a few questions to get some more information about what you're experiencing.

  1. When did this issue began happening and what version of software are you on?

  2. What other solutions have you tried on your own?

  3. Does the issue persist if you use a charger cable provided from the box or a link cable?

Once we have these details, we can further assist! We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi there, @Eliteshift! We'd like to get your PCVR gaming experience back on track, so we're eager to help out with your Air Link connection! In order for us to get a better idea of this situation overall, let's start by clarifying the following points then we can move forward from there:

  • Have you ever been able to successfully connect your headset to this PC via Air Link the past?
  • Have there been any other headsets connected to this PC previously?
  • Have there been any changes made to your PC or headset?
  • So we don't repeat any, what troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

I have been having the same problem, but i've been able to connect with it in the past. It keeps saying to "ensure other devices aren't connected", but I have tried everything I could to fix it. I did a factory reset, deleted all of oculus software and downloaded it again. turned off my pc and oculus over and over again, updated my video driver with NVIDIA, and everything else. If there is anything you can do to help, please tell me. Thank you.

Hi there, @drsniper47.2024! We definitely want to do our best to get you back to PCVR gaming as well, so we'd love to help out! To clarify a bit more, do you happen to have another headset that's used to play PCVR on this PC? Also, can you confirm that your PC currently meets the full requirements to support this connection as listed right here? Lastly, were you able to make sure that every device is unplugged from your PC except for the headset? Let us know and we can continue from there!

Previously i have been able to successfully connect my quest to my pc via airlnk.
there has been an oculus rift S connected to the pc previously otherwise thats it but has been removed.
there hasnt been any changes to my pc and with the headset i have factory resetted as it didnt work but it stil doesnt.

and i have tried factory resetting quest, deleting and reinstalling oculus app on pc.

Thank you for that information. We have a few more questions for you on this!

  • Can you provide us your PC specs?
  • Do you have the option to use a link cable?
    • if so, does the challenge persist?

We're looking forward to hearing back from you on this!
