So until now ive been able to just connect the link cable and use my headset on the pc freely now suddenly the pc app wont even recognize the headsets been plugged in, which kinda sucks since all my games are on the pc so basically cant do anything with my headset until a new update or a fix unless i want to buy the games over again. Not sure what to do to fix it

So basically, you have no **bleep**ing clue what's wrong.

After this new update my link connection was horrid I spent hours to try and figure out what the cause was and I even got in contact with a support member, they haven't replied in a while so I did more troubleshooting and found out the only way to fix it was join the PTC (Pubic Test Channel) and then I had some fun playing VTOL VR. after finishing my vr session and playing another game, I get a notification on oculus software saying "Update Oculus Drivers" and I clicked update. Now my link doesn't work again, so I know its all because of the Oculus either app or updates. I have tried leaving the PTC, didn't work. I have tried entering the PTC again, didn't work. I went through all the same "troubleshoot options" oculus always gives and never works, didn't work (who would have thought). I'm just at a loss I wanna use my headset but I always feel like there is a issue with something. It could just be these new updates and Oculus will release a hot fix, but its has been days usually a big issue that doesn't let the consumer use the product gets hotfixed in like a couple of hours, but the update they did after the one that broke my oculus made it worse. I hope this gets fixed in a couple of days.

You got the update to the official v57 - like me this morning - and it breaks link again. 🙄
It seems they build in the same bug as in v56.1.
Enabling PTC doesn't help, cause there is no newer version out yet.
I also hope they will fix that soon.

Hey guys! Looks like the PTC workaround that @Choleni suggested was short lived, but it was great to see it work when it did. As for now, if you're running into an issue with Link connection on the official v57 release please head over to THIS THREAD HERE. I'll be trying to get this into the hands of the right people so they can look into this further.

Thank you for bringing it to the right hands.....I'm lost without my cable link😅

You have to be kidding me. Link Cable PCVR connection broken with the update a few days ago. Fixed with the hack/workaround of opting in to the PTC. Broken again today. I'm thoroughly fed up with this. Air Link isn't an option.
Here's my version info if it remotely helps anyone who actually might be QA'ing this awful software:
Oculus App Version 57.0.0.238.153 (57.0.0.238.153)
This needs to be fixed sooner than ASAP. This is just ridiculous.

Had the same problems and no other solutions worked for me. What I found was that if you want, factory reset your quest 2 with the mobile app. It worked for me and I hope it'll work for anyone else who has this problem. The little pop up will appear in your quest when u connect via cable(I'm using the Anker USB 3.0 to USB C) and the app on your computer should recognize your quest.

Nothing you guys can do. Do not do any resetting or anything. It went out for me for months and finally got yhr latest 57 update and the oculus pc software had a driver update and Airlink started working again. Not as good as before but I was able to play stern pinball again finally so that's good enough for me for now. As an aside if you havent tried stern pinball it is a must have tons of free play and the recreations are unbelievable

It's not about airlink.....you are right, this is working.
Cable link does not. It's a known issue and the M;eta team is working on that.
