Im using pc vr on my quest 3 and when i booted it up after booting and closing a couple times due to issues with steam vr and then it flashed white for a second and turned dark and it won't turn on or do anything, it's battery is fine and i got it on release day, i'm not sure if you have to be careful when unplugging any cables connected to your pc and headset on either end, and when it's connected aswell.

I'm having a similar problem. It's stuck in the USB loop and will black screen.

Hi guys, could you confirm if you're still having this issue with your PCVR? There was recently a change done by our engineers that may have resolved this. Please be sure to update me!

probably about 2 weeks ago as well

What troubleshooting steps, if any, have you already attempted? I unpaired it from my pc and got a new link cable but after the 1st turn on with it worked flawlessly then i tryed using it again it just went all black

Hey again, @R0Z1E3! let's go through the basic steps to tackle backscreen problems. Give these steps a try and give us a heads up if you notice any differences:

1. Check if your graphics card is up to date.
2. Make sure your USB drivers are up to date.
3. Disable the USB power saver mode if it's enabled.
4. Unplug all devices except your mouse and keyboard, then test by plugging in only the headset.
5. If you have two monitors, try using just one monitor.

Please give us a heads up if you need any further assistance

I have the same problem. When I try to connect the headset to pc with the quest link, it is just all black and nothing.

I tried the steps you gave still not working.

Greetings @evajiang.2022! Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this issue. We're sorry this issue is ongoing for you and we would love to get this resolved for you. Have you already attempted to connect your Quest 3 device to the PC by via Air Link function? If so, are you experiencing the same black screen once connected? Luckily, we have a few more steps to resolve this black screen issue on the desktop:

  1. Go to Windows Settings > System  > Display > Graphics Settings

  2. Click Graphics performance preference

  3. Click Choose an app to set preference > Desktop app

  4. Locate your OVRServer_x64.exe. By default, this will be located as follows:C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\OVRServer_x64.exe
  5. Click Add

  6. Set this to Power Saving then close the settings menu and click Save
    • If this does not work or is already the setting selected, Performance Mode can be tried instead

  7. Reset the computer and test VR Desktop

We've seen these steps help people out in the past with the same issue you're having. We're hoping that they will do the same for you.

However, if you're still having trouble after trying those steps, please don't hesitate to reach back out and let us know. We'll also be here if you have any other questions or concerns. Have a legendary rest of your day!
