"Controller not being tracked" - how to disable this message?

I'm using a Quest Pro, pretty much only for PCVR, i.e. tethered to my PC via a USB cable, for use with Flight Sims.

The implications being that once I'm powered up, I put my Oculus handsets off to one side and use my HOTAS controls.

A little while later and I get the pop up message of "controller not being tracked".  Only to be expected really, as I'm not using them.

I've looked through the various options screens, couldn't see an obvious way.

How do I disable the message being shown, or even better, have the message time out after say 5 seconds and them dissapear?

Just to gain a little clarity on our end, we'd like to ask you a few questions:

  • Are you using a third party controller?
  • Have you tried to enable hand tracking to see if it helps to prevent the notification?

My controller is not getting detected and when I connect it it is only detecting it as the left controller not my right

Can you please answer the following:

  • Are you using a third party controller?
  • Have you tried to enable hand tracking to see if it helps to prevent the notification?

I am stuck on the screen when u first get ur oculus it says pair controllers and I can’t use the app but I can’t get past that screen

Ah, okay. By chance, have you tried to perform a factory reset? If not, we would recommend performing a factory reset as this erases everything off your headset and returns it to the software state that it was in when you first took it out of the box.

To perform a factory reset:

  • Turn off your headset.
  • Hold the power and volume down (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  • Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  • Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
