"Frame (number) dropped due to encoder buckup" after gpu upgrade

Recently I've upgraded to rx6600 from my GTX 970, the VR experience is just down right bad because I'm constantly loosing like half the frames, reinstalling the GTX back into pc solves the problem but sticking back to it is kinda a stupid option where the only reason for the upgrade was to have VR games run better.
Reinstalling the pc app doesn't help, drivers reinstall either.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
I'm on windows 10 by the way

Hey @LambertTheNice! We see you're having some display quality issues after upgrading your GPU. This is never the type of VR gaming experience we aim to provide! We may need to take a closer look into your PC specs to see what could be causing this issue. Here's how you can gather your logs to send over to our support team:

  1. Open the Run window (Windows key + R).
  2. Enter and run: C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics\OculusLogGatherer.exe
    1. The above link is the default directory. Bear in mind that if you installed the Oculus PC app to another drive you will need to update the command with the correct file path.
  3. Select the checkbox next to ‘Full logs’.
  4. Select "1 day" from the "Collect last" drop down list.
  5. Wait for the log collection to finish. This can take some time to complete.
  6. The program will automatically generate a zip file containing your logs, which will be saved to your desktop.
  7. Attach the newly created zip file to your support ticket.

We look forward to hearing from you and getting this sorted out!
