"Unable to verify your oculus account" error

Tried uninstalling software and reinstalling. It did remember by login so I guess I didn't delete everything.

My internet connect is fine. Under my account on the website I have a serial number for my RIFT S but apparently I have no devices under the 'device' menu. Lets me start playing games downloaded through the Oculus store but only for a few minutes until I get the verification error. Steam games play just fine.

Scott.

Hey, can you try another network to see if there's any change? If it persists, or you're unable to try that, then please gather your logs with these steps and create a ticket here. - Principe

Computer is hardwired but I can get it onto WiFi to try another network. I also took my rift S to another hardwired computer and got the same error. New network and logs tomorrow.

I get the same issue, wired or wireless, on two different computers - one a brand new install. We need logs to find out out what its trying to reach out to. So annoying.

October... Same issue.

I'm having this issue as well, mailed support about it.

I observe this issue on my Rift CV1 as well as my Quest 2 with link connected, so this is no device issue, but in fact an account issue.

So far support has not been helpful and could not remedy our problem.

Been waiting also since October, when the forced conversion for Quest 2 caused the 'unable to verify your oculus account' error on Rift Home. Requests for status are responded to that they're too busy to respond to status requests.

After purchasing Quest 2 and letting wife use original Quest 1, I can confidently say this is a pre Facebook account requirement issue.

When I created my Oculus account after purchasing Quest 1, the Rift home always worked if I was not logged into my Facebook account. If I enabled my Facebook account for social features, I would get the above error message on Rift home via Oculus Link.

No matter what I do now, I cannot get the Rift home to work via Oculus Link. I went ahead and linked my Oculus account to my Facebook account when I purchased the Quest 2.

My wife, on the other hand, who never had a Oculus account and logged in via Facebook from day 1 has no issues with Rift home via Oculus link.

Extremely frustrated this is an issue of Facebook/Oculus own doing and have yet to address this problem. Why are the users who jumped onboard early being punished here?

I've been fighting with this issue since i bought my quest 2, Oculus support keeps sending me the same e-mail loop....  try hard reset and re-install... change X number of settings then when i do those and they don;t work i get a send log files... i send log files, never hear back (literally been MONTHS waiting) resubmit ticket go through loop again....  Literally the worst customer service i have ever had EVER

I have done exactly this and Occulus support has not replied to my logs... They were sent JULY 2nd, 2021!!!!! 4 months later, no response...
