Hello everyone,
I can't get past the screen that says I need to update my account by March 29th. I have been all over the website and app to insure all of my account info is up to date and it will not let me past that screen. Any help is appreciated. I'm pretty tech savvy and this is just driving me insane

I came here because I’m having the same problem! I’ve tried everything!

Hopefully you made it to the code that pops up? You HAVE to log into Facebook and enter that code. Meta.com/device then it goes away. No code? Then log into your account and combined it with Facebook “account center” then the code should pop up. Hope that helps

I am having this same issue….
I used my Facebook profile to activate our families new Meta Quest 2 VR, not realizing I needed to create a child specific account. In now restricted on Facebook and Instagram, have been all over the Meta app and clicking all links available after correcting the issue, but there appears to be nothing but dead ends! I don’t want to lose my social media accounts for the last 10+ years over this dumb VR game system! Help!

When you say “combine it with Facebook account center” - what do you mean, can you elaborate? Thanks in advance

Ok, haha this is actually where all of this started for me. Choose not to share your account and go through the steps it gives you to verify your age. You need to regain control of your main account first before your child. Below is the account setting on Facebook I’m talking about. Just make sure your meta account and Facebook account can access eachother. Then my previous reply should make sense

Thanks for the reply! Currently, I have removed my facebook and instagram accounts from my Meta account. Previous to that, I had disabled sharing but that had no effect. I currently have my meta account set to my correct birth date, and my child is signed up as a 12-under child with parental monitoring. Everything appears correct. I still cannot get Facebook to "derestrict" me, when I log on it just says "Your account is restricted (etc) and then says I can "appeal the dicesion by visiting oculus.auth.com". Well - oculus.auth.com has no option to appeal what Facebook is doing! Am I missing something?

Any luck?

Hey there, @Paulmnop, @EFreeth and @Bigbore500r, and thank you so much for bringing this to the community! Account issues where our youngest users are involved can sometimes get very complex due to all the extra security checking in place, but please be reassured we are here to assist you with working through this and finding a resolution. For us to really look into your accounts, however, we'll need information we wouldn't want you to post in a public space, so send us a Private Message by clicking on our name to get to our profile page, or clicking here. Next, click "Send a Message" and we'll be getting it shortly! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message.
