So there are problems installing multiple games on Oculus Home (non beta). The game itself installs fine, but then there has to be "additional System Software" installed. But after accepting to do this, the process fails and says: "Sorry, we couldn't install <game> [...]"
Can we gather a list of possible solutions for this problem while the support ticket is pending?
Hint: Trying to upgrade to the Beta branch of Home also fails after "additional system software" has to be installed for the Home update.
I'm stuck on this as well. Waiting for my rift but would like to pre-install the game. got through the software without setting up the rift and the moment i tried to install echo arena or sparc or even Home, instant "Sorry, we couldn't install" Contacted customer support and they gave me boilerplate answers: disable antivirus, reinstall, sign out and sign back in, repair, check if you have enough drive space, send the logs to them, send compatibility results. it's almost as if they don't give a crap.
EDIT: Solved it. Turns out there was a permission issue with Windows 10 in regards to Elevated vs Unelevated Administrator accounts. Once I learned how to turn my account back to Elevated, the software was able to install
additional system software usually means Microsoft .NET libraries and direct-x.. try installing them manually from the Microsoft site?
