i tried searching for this, but i couldn't find a solution... every time i run a game or app, i have to go to settings and enable this option... shouldn't it remember my choice when i restart the oculus app?
This happened to me the first 3 days of playing skyrim. (My first outside sources game). Then after that 3rd day it seems to have fixed itself and now it remains on. Maybe it didnt take effect until i restarted my pc or something. Im not sure but it finally stayed.
Do you still need these, sir or ma'am? I just bought an Oculus for my daughter and we are having this problem and it is extremely annoying.

Reinstalled and repaired the Oculus software and the problem persists. Can't get it to stick with allowing apps from unknown sources.
EDIT: Running Oculus "as Administrator" and making the change to allow unknown apps *seems* to have worked, after the Repair process.
Can't play any of the games I want to. Constantly pops up that it's from an unknown source, soon as I click on VR in Steam, or soon as I click on any app that's from an unknown source. Half the time Oculus settings are still open and still showing that I did in fact allow unknown sources. But still, Oculus won't let me.
What do I do now. I've already returned one headset that didn't work (Lenovo Explorer), and I'm within the return period on this. It's an option that should work. It does not. Am I returning this, or is there a fix.
