Hey guys and gals,
I got the Quest 3 for Christmas because I saw it as the ideal option for standalone and PCVR Gaming. Unfortunately my network setup does not suffice for Wireless PCVR so I bought the official LinkCable only to find out, as many others have already, that a basic USB-C Port on a Standart motherboard does not have enough power to keep the Quest 3 charged at any percentage.
There is already one thread here about this topic mentioning a single ASUS Mainbaord but I'd like to know an official requirement the USB-C Port on my PC needs to fulfill in order to keep the Quest 3 charged. Is Power Delivery 60W enough? does it need to be thunderbolt? any official requirement would be helpful.

Hey there, @Zourak! We know how important keeping your headset fully charged is for prolonging your VR gaming experience, so we wanted to pop in to share some insight! By the way, it's important that we let you know that we recommend charging your headset through a wall outlet with the provided charging cable and adaptor, instead of charging from a PC. If you are charging from a PC, please keep in mind that computers typically provide less power than outlets and may require more time to charge. Computers may also stop charging peripherals if the peripheral is completely powered off (causing the computer to not recognize the presence of the device), or if the computer itself goes into a sleep state. Also, the headset will typically consume more power than the computer port can provide, resulting in the battery charge decreasing over time. The headset must be off or in a low power (sleep) state to charge. For more information on maximizing the battery life of your headset, please check out this article, and let us know if you have any further questions!
