usb issue ?

hi, i experienced something interesting today.
i played damaged core for 2 hours, i noticed a slight stutter if i lean to the right. but not everytime i cant trigger it it happend randomly.
i changed the usb slot because i looked into the oculus home settings/ devices it showed me my hmd is on a usb 2.0 . ive got a pretty new mainboard a z170 and i got only usb 3,0 ports on the back. because of this i changed the usb port and then it showed me im in a usb 3.0 port, so far so good i thought. i noticed the last week some stutter but i thought its the graphiks driver or something... but it was not really bad. now with this game what got much head movement it annoied me and i noticed the bug. i changed the hmd usb cable back to the old port, now it shows me usb 2.0 again, but it work perfect, like it should. greez

Since the app update I've noticed that my Rift hardware is suddenly detecting as USB 2.0, it means I have to unplug the hmd and sensor, wait a few seconds then re-insert them, once I've done that they detect correctly. I usually only have to do that once each boot and then not always, as in intermittently.

Yup...my rift seems to think my USB 3.0 port is a 2.0 port half the time I plug it in.

i got a "fix" for this. i buyed a inateck usb 3.0 card. now it shows usb 3.0 all the time without any tracking issues / stutter. if i plug the controller wireless modul in the card too, it shows me a usb 2.0 on the rift after reboot. if just the rift and the sensor are connected everything works fine. hmmmm it seems the controller usb bus is in conflict with the others ? now i got the controller wireless modul conected to the mainboard usb . everythings fine so far. greez

I haven't had issues with the rift but did have problems with some other usb3 devices a while ago on one of my USB3 controllers. I found disabling legacy USB support solved it but did stop usb2 devices working on that controller/ports.
