v68 Pro Controllers with Quest 3

Kudladar
Explorer

With the release of v68 today, the ongoing issues since V65 with the Quest 3 headset and the Pro controllers continues and has gotten worse.  With the v68 update, the controllers are not even being detected, if I finally do get them to "turn on and be seen in the headset" they absolutely don't "realign" themselves properly and are almost useless.

Meta this has been ongoing now for 2-3 months. Something has  to give here

My Pro controller with Quest 3 in v68 is also having similar problem. But mine is whenever I air link with my PC, my pro controller disconnected from my headset, and it won’t reconnect even when I restart my pro controllers.

It only reconnects when I quit the air link.

Unfortunately, I have to pair the quest 3 controller to play it on air link.
Quest 3 controller doesn’t seems to have the problem I mentioned.

Hey @Kudladar and @Hsu0617! We appreciate you both bringing your controller issues to our attention. We understand how important it is to have working controllers so you can continue the wonderful VR world. No worries; we'd be more than happy to assist.

Since this is a headset update issue, we suggest that you submit a bug report here so that our engineers can further look into this and try to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Have a great rest of the day!

Thanks for the suggestion, however, I have been submitting them ever since there was an issue and no resolution still.

The controllers fail to initialize automatically like they used to.  Now I have to press a button/trigger on the controller and 1/3 of the time they will connect.  The other 2/3's time I have to set them back on the charging station then pull them off and try again.  This method sometimes takes 2-3 attempts before they finally connect.  If I do nothing after the initial power on of the headset (after a key press on the controller), the headset eventually states "Controllers not tracking".  I've tried the powering off thing with the controllers also and that rarely works.

The issue with them not tracking at all seems to have gone away on its own or was an update that was pushed upon powering the headset down.

Hi there, thank you for your response, would you be able to send us a private message? We will be able to assist you further there.

@Kudladar

I've been experiencing this since V65 and now that I've mentioned that I'm thinking of taking the issue further, I seem to be met with a wall of silence.

I hope this works for you.

I could dream forever, and never stop. I could think of life and beauty, the stars that fade in the sky. The hearts of lovers, the dreams of dreamers.
