Right after v71 update, VD bitrate is either broken or wifi performance is just software reduced to save battery etc...
Yesterday with still v69 had normal ~400mbps like always to this day with h264+. Now doesn't go more than 114mbps.
Anyone else having issues?
Hope we could have some day option to downgrade these broken updates. Can you please implement that meta?
Are you sandbagging the wifi performance for some reason meta? Please at least tell if that's the case with this.

I can confirm that sideloading older firmware like v69 fixes this even people say downgrading isn't possible.
Today after weekend I found that meta had forced the new very modern 80s black and white tv theme even I left every automatic updating slides disabled and guess what? Bitrate again very low.
v69 in again and there the bitrate is also again.
Why meta hates PCVR??

My decoding time has been doubled since v69 (on PTC v71 now). I've tried factory resetting PC, headset, dedicated router. The fps is no longer stable even just doing nothing in the steamvr void.
I've read that it might be possible to downgrade. How did you do this or did you find any information about this? I've tried the regular search engines but not found much other than an archive of firmwares and the hope that it will work someday.

Follow these instructions on video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YQqIDb9NERY
Its exactly that archive that you probably found already. Then use i integrated sideloading option on boot menu. Watch the video.
But because meta forces updates if headset is connected to wifi this is one time solution only. I have to do this procedure third time to get my bitrate back now

Just replying to keep this active. Still 40-70 mbps even im 10cm away from my router. Sideloading older firmware fixes this still. Meta hasnt given any responses from bug reports or anything.

I can't get more than 40mbps in Virtual Desktop and I'm out of ideas. I'm a network engineer and have troubleshot this to death going as far as to think maybe there's just too much interference on my 5ghz band so I got a new Omada 773 and have it set up in tandem with my other AP but broadcasting only on 6GHZ to rule out any interference completely as there are no other 6ghz APs near me. Same issue.
My computer is on a 10gb connection to the local network and my wifi APs are on 2.5gb connections, I've confirmed on other devices that I can push/pull at the full rate via iperf.
I've also noticed that the jitter is extremely high pinging to my headset, spiking wildly up to hundreds of ms and down to as little as 3ms and I believe this is the cause of the low bitrate. The headset can pull almost full gigabit from our uplink (I'll get a local speedtest set up shortly), but the inconsistent rate is the likely culprit. Can someone at Meta please address this? It affects performance on VD or any Airlink.

I've got the same issue. Had a PrismXR dedicated device conncted via usbC, 4080 super and 5800x3D and 32Gb of RAM. I still got stuttering no matter what setup i choose. I've already tried everything to avoid this with no luck. It's very annoying that having a supposedly capable PC and setup i had such bad performance. I also read other people's comments with lower setups and don't complain of anything and say they play "buttery smooth". I don't know what "buttery smooth" means to them, but for me it means no noticeable spikes or framedrops at any point (or the minimum amount of them at least). I've always had struggles playing PCVR and yet I'm still confident that is the better way to play, but I REALLY need to get this working fine..
