building a pc for a friend and wanted to know if this graphics card listed below will work with the oculus rift s?

It has a displayport connector so it should work. It's not going to be the highest performer but requirements for the Rift S are lower than for the Quest.

I fully agree - RTX 2060 is fully supported, but a 3060 (Ti) would be better.

Expect the following for performance:
RTX 2060 = 80%
RTX 3060 = 100%
RTX 3060 Ti = 133%

what about that card? i know the RIFT S is pretty janky with certain cards and so forth and i just wanna make sure this will be 100% playable

Looks great too - if it's not too expensive, I'd try to find a 3060 Ti instead.
