Hi there, @stuiterballx98! We certainly want to make sure your PCVR experience is as seamless as possible, so we appreciate you bringing those Quest Link issues to our attention! So we can get a better grasp of what might be causing this issue and proceed with the best next steps, we'd like you to go through and answer the following questions when you get the chance:

  • What specifically happens when it freezes? Is it just your PC, or does the display freeze in VR as well?
  • Does this issue pop up in every game/app you've tried? Does it happen in all environments?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
  • Does your PC currently meet the requirements to use Quest Link? (Note: You should ensure your headset and all relevant PC components, such as your GPU, are up-to-date.)
  • Are you using an official Meta Quest Link cable?

my pc freezes and im still able to unlink my link cable in the meta quest i have an official meta quest cable aswel and it happend with ghost of tabor and wrench most of the games i have no problem with only those 2 for now i turned of gpu hardware acceleration gpu is up to date and windows aswel my pc is above specs needed to play vr

Hello again, @stuiterballx98! Thank you for this additional information. Are you able to continue playing the game when your PC freezes? Also, have you tried uninstalling the games, doing a hard reboot and reinstalling the games? Here are the steps to perform a hard reboot:

To restart your headset:

  1. With your headset on and powered on, press and hold the power button on the right side of your headset until you see the Power off screen.
  2. Select Restart. Your headset will turn off and then turn back on.

If you're headset is unresponsive or you're otherwise unable to restart your headset, you can do a force restart:

  1. Press and hold the power button for at least 30 seconds.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. If your headset doesn't automatically turn back on, press the power button until your headset turns back on.

Please get back to us once you have given this a try. We look forward to your response!

Hey, @stuiterballx98! Thank you for keeping us updated! We noticed that in our previous conversation with you, we provided you with some troubleshooting steps we wanted you to give a try. We wanted to know if you attempted any one of those troubleshooting steps and if they seemed to resolve anything.

the solution is for the headset i have no problems with the headset it self it is just that when im using vr my pc hard freezes i already tried airlink no problems happend with that it is only when i play cable

Thank you so much for the update, @stuiterballx98! Since the device has no issues in standalone mode or when connected via AirLink, it sounds like the issue lies with the cable. We first recommend checking the cable for damage. Please disconnect the headset cable from both the PC and headset and carefully inspect it. Damage may include twists, kinks, frays, or bent pins. If your cable shows any signs of damage, please let us know so we can explore our options together.

If the cable looks just fine, please check the following:

  • Verify that all connections to the PC and headset are secure. If one of the cables is loose, that can cause intermittent issues.
  • Try a different port.
  • Confirm that you are using USB 3.0 ports only.
  • Make sure that you are not using any USB splitters or extensions.
  • If possible, please test on a different PC. If the problem does not occur on another PC with the same cable, then it's more likely to be an issue with the PC itself.

We hope this information helps! Please let us know how this goes!
