Improved Purchase Gizmo

Creators can now change the way people make purchases. Instead of walking directly into a purchase zone, creators can place a floating button in their world that users can interact with as part of the purchase flow. The change includes two options for creators to choose from: 1. a Purchase Button that displays the price of the item; and 2. a Purchase Icon that shows a floating dollar sign that always faces the user.

Hands First Interactions

We’ve added the ability to make your avatar hands physically collidable, enabling them to interact directly with physics objects. What’s that mean? Now you can manipulate in-world objects without first having to grab them! Spin a wheel, push a button or nudge a floating toy boat using your hands directly! To use this feature in existing worlds the World Creator will need to ensure that physical hands are toggled on for all players in the World Tab under Player Settings (this toggle is on by default for new worlds).

Be sure to check out the Featured Tab in the Asset Library - we just added some new physical interfaces like buttons, sliders, and wheels that are ready to be used in your worlds. There’s also a new ‘Pushing Examples’ world where you can try these out for yourself and a new Interaction Pattern tutorial doc that dives deep into the design and scripting of each example.

Personal Library

We're rolling out Personal Asset Library, which gives creators the ability to save, update, and retrieve their own custom assets. Creators can now reuse art, interactive objects, and scripts that you've created, making creating new worlds even easier. And, Personal Asset Library is available when you're a collaborator, which makes sharing your custom assets with others even easier!

Watch the video here on how to use Personal Library.

Bugs

  • This issue where the Photocard can only be grabbed by one user is resolved.
