Improved World Performance All worlds have now been migrated to Visit 2.0. As a reminder, Visit 2.0, is the set of system optimizations that allow us to get a substantial load-time reduction. Compared with 1.0, Visit 2.0 worlds have shown increased improvement on travel reliability and loading time.
New Travel Portal Hanging out and exploring new worlds with people is part of the magic of Horizon Worlds. So, in addition to Party, we’re starting to roll out an additional way for you to travel with friends. You can now create a portal to any world that allows you and people nearby to go together.
To create a portal, open your Horizon Menu, hover over the World Card and select “Portal”. Portals remain open for 45 seconds. It’s an easy and quick way to explore with new and old friends. Two things to remember - anyone nearby can travel through the portal and that you can only open portals to worlds set to public.
As mentioned above, this is rolling out now and we expect everyone will have access to initiating a portal over the next couple of months. Enjoy exploring…together!
