Today we are officially beginning to roll out Meta accounts, which give you the option to access Meta VR products, like Meta Horizon Worlds, with or without a Facebook or Instagram account. You may still choose to add your Facebook and/or Instagram account via the Meta Accounts Center to access connected experiences like the My Horizon Worlds Creation page found here https://www.facebook.com/facebookhorizon/creations, play games in VR with your Instagram Followers, or chat with Facebook friends on Messenger. System Time code blocks available
We’ve added two new code blocks that allow you to get the current system time / date, and to get the amount of time that has passed since a fixed reference date. You can use this to make daily challenges, countdown limited time special events, or even change the environment in your world over time. These new code blocks can be found in the script panel under Operators > Time.
More items in Asset Library
We're always looking for ways to provide creators with more variety in their worlds. You may have noticed, last week we added items with detail and which use shapes that aren't native to Horizon — this is something we're experimenting with. We're starting with a few options and will add more over the coming months. You shouldn't see any significant change in world performance or capacity. The new assets can be used just like all the other items in the Asset Library. Pull them into your worlds. Take them apart. Customize them. We can't wait to see what you build!
New Bug Reporter
Over the coming weeks we will be releasing a shortcut to report any bugs you may encounter. This new flow mimics reporting a problem from the Meta Quest home by using the “Report a Problem” button on the navigation bar.
To bring up the “Report a Problem” panel, hold the A, B, X, and Y buttons on your controllers at the same time for 5 seconds. Once the panel is displayed, the process is the same. You provide a short description of the issue you are seeing, and you can include a screenshot to help illustrate the issue you encountered.
Please note, those who are reporting bugs in this way will not receive a response once they have submitted the bug report.
The following Visit 2.0 bugs have been resolved. The team is continuing to work on resolving other known 2.0 issues. We will close out the Visit 2.0 Uservoice section and re-enter them into the regular UV bug forum. We appreciate your reports and feedback. Please let us know if you are experiencing other issues by reporting these in UserVoice. (https://horizonworlds.uservoice.com/)
