So this is what I want to do: I want to create a Horizon world where I can meet a bunch of people and each of us will be able to open a window within the world to a website. Each of us will only be able to see our own website that we create and interact with that website. Obviously there will be more to the world, but this element is key to getting this going. Since I've seen videos in horizon worlds I'm hoping there is a way to bring up a webpage as a gizmo or some element that is creditable in the world.
Did you manage to find anything out about this one? I wanted to do it so I could use Bing AI to walk me through how to build a world. Would be so much easier having a browser with all the instructions on what to do from inside the world, without having to go back to laptop/tablet each time.
this is something we would all like, currently videos are a special feature that just meta employee developers have access too, but even they cannot link to an external website like you mention. This may never be rolled out due to the risk, imagine a minor was in a world and someone showed adult content. This was happening with the camera update so they had to remove features they had added. Also the issue with showing content such as netflix, becomes a liability.
there is a bit of a workaround to this while building.. Make sure to have the browser app installed, then if you go to little mode you can open up the browser. i have done this, however you can't use it in big mode so it still ends up being a bit awkward and easier to just lift the headset and look at your laptop/phone. I only find it good to use if tired and my partner is still going in the zone
If the issue is seriously safety concerning minors then I would be happy to: 1) connect the browser to a specific domain name so it can change 2) make my "room" a "no minors" room. 3) make my room an invite only type of room. But since that doesn't seem possible I will have to wait for workrooms to add the ability to change the look of the room. I guess what I'm looking for is more like workrooms anyway.
