I would like to name my sensors so that when an issue is reported I don't have to play the randomly unplug sensors game to find out which one is having an issue.
I ended up attaching post-it note labels to my sensors last January in order to help diagnose sensor issues - even then it still requires me to get up and read through the S/N's to figure out which one is which. Being able to see that "'Front-left' has lost wireless sync" would help a lot. Another option could be to have the sensor LED flash while it's highlighted in the settings window.
The fact that this idea gets so many votes clearly shows how many people suffer from the "poor tracking" issue - including me...
But I think naming sensors would be a poor workaround. A better one would be to be able to reset the sensors via software: https://riftcorebeta.uservoice.com/forums/907760-desktop-app/suggestions/32546782-allow-us-to-reset-...
Even better fix the "poor tracking" issues completely - its not a hardware issue if unplugging and plugging can resolve it... ð
I really need this. This feels like 1-2 days of dev work, 2 days of QA.. So isolated and entirely independent of main functionality so low risk.
Maybe no that many people would use it, but enough would given the effort it will take.
Upvoted but I just generally ignore the warning and it goes away like magic after a while (or at the very worst a reboot - easier than fiddling around the back of the PC unplugging random USB devices).
