I haven’t made an avatar so my character just shows up as a grey man. I don’t care what the avatar looks like, but I don’t want to have to see the arms or torso! Is there any way to disable the avatar or go back to the original oculus transparent hands?

edit: In the comments the feature seems to be in the works!

I hate this new arms. It scares me and I would not use my quest till it disapear. It compleatly ruins my immersion. Stop doing things like this or give people chois to turn it off

is crack a company perk now? this is an utterly vile addition. its ugly and poorly implemented. at the very least make it optional so you can see the stats of how many people hate this "good idea"

Have you tried manually downgrading to v46 using the bootloader menu? I’ve never done it before so I don’t know whether or not it will work but I figure it’s worth a try.

Please add an option to disable the VR arms! When they work properly, which is rare, they are intrusive. But when they glitch out; they track poorly, flicker in and out, continuously smack my VR head in the face, and genuinely creep me out. Please don't tell me you know better than I do in this area, and please give me the option to disable this non-feature entirely!

This a thousand percent! I do not like this option, and I never will. The second the sidequest gives me the option to be rid of these arms entirely, I'm taking it! Because when they work properly, which is rare, they are intrusive. First time I've even been on this forum, there was previously no need as I could just use my headset in peace.

Totally horrified when I turned my device on and saw this 'upgrade', worst still to my utter disbelief, you can't turn it off.

What on earth possessed management to sign off such a digital cluster**bleep**?

I've not noticed a mirror, so there's probably worst to come. Avatars were atrocious on 3ds/Wii, exponentially worse on 360, and now you think in 2022 this is what we want?

Simple, they know better than us.
