The title says it all.  It's inconceivable why you would not allow children to cast so that their supervisors can see what they are doing, help them, and engage with them.  I can't figure out a single benefit to preventing casting from child accounts.

At the very least, give parents the option to select whether or not their children can cast.

I know there is a limitation for casting to the app from secondary accounts.  That's not what I'm referring to.  If we could cast to a browser on a computer, that would be great.  But the ability to cast anywhere has been disabled for no good reason.  I've tried on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and the Meta Quest desktop app and none of them are working.

My child is 12 and I've also tried updating their birthdate so you don't impose nonsensical restrictions but you won't let me update their birthdate.

Be better and have the restrictions you impose actually make sense.

The vibe I get is that Meta wants to appear to be concerned about security, privacy, safety etc regarding children but less concerned with actually implementing functional protections.

Agree!  I should be able to see what my child is doing on the TV - that helps the parent supervise their child!

Agree, it seems mad that I can’t supervise my child via the TV
