Kick out of an app/game to home happens not that often to me but the 3 loading dots with black screen appears very randomly for 0.5 seconds. I had this issue with the first Quest I purchased at begin of September and also with a replacement unit. The Quests always updated after the first start to OS version 358570.9320.0.
My troubleshootings. Happens:
⢠in Oculus's Home Room
⢠within games
⢠in stationary mode
⢠in roomscale mode
⢠in the middle of the day within a bright livingroom
⢠in the night with lot lamp lights
⢠in the night with dimmed lamp lights
⢠without people/animals in the room and no screens on (TV, monitor, etc)
⢠with people in the room and TV on
⢠in a complete different room with new guardian an no other electrical devices around
⢠with disabled WiFi
⢠after a factory reset
Oculus will not bother even looking into this issue until a VIP or important internal person starts having this issue. I just started experiencing it myself now. Obviously this is due to a recent software update.
Same here, happens with me esspecially when I play Space Pirate (not the demo). From lvl 10 or higher. Seems to be the temperature. And need to start all over: game crashes also. And I play with the newest Quest software: 9.0
Purchased 7 days ago, problem since day one. Update to 10 is running. Fingers crossed it's fixed with that. Support says update, other location then firmware reset
'@Badelatsch: what do you mean with: Support says update, other location then firmware reset?
Can you explain / give more info?
I'm now trying changing 60 Hz and daylight settings.
Okay I found out the reason why it keeps turning off.
When itâs not on tight enough the censor wonât read your using it so then it will just turn off
On the other hand if itâs almost dead and doesnât have enough power it will as well turn off
Same issue here but the app quits rather than pauses. I sacrificed all my game save data to factory reset per Oculus supports advice, but to no avail. I can't see any more recent complaints of this.. have everyone's issues been resolved through a software update?
