I spent $450 on an oculus device. My FB account was soon later disabled, making the device useless. This meant a loss of $450. Oculus said they would send a ticket to the âFB Account Teamâ and I was assured I would hear from them very quickly and this would be resolved.
This is not only an issue due to my device being useless, but I also run a business through Facebook and make a living through Facebook. As well as have 14+ years of memories on there. So not only have I lost income due to this, I lost an additional $450 that was essentially thrown in the garbage at a time I cannot earn income.
Well it has now been weeks and I have not heard anything from the FB team after being told multiple times this wouldnât happen and my account would be back in no time. Iâm repeatedly told I have to continue waiting and oculus cannot do anything. And I cannot receive a refund on my headset that is now useless. It feels almost like being robbed. Taking my $ and not returning it knowing because of a FB account, the device is of no value to me.
This needs to change. And they are leaving it all up to the live chat agents to handle & clean up the results of THEIR awful procedures and the backlash, because they will not take escalations. You cannot speak to anyone higher than a live chat agent who cannot help you at all regarding this oculus issue. Fix this.
